Different Shadows
I was wanting a different shadow
effect and
I came up with this one. I hope you enjoy it.
Use a tube that is very clean of
extra pixels.
I recommend Jazzl's site.
Wow... what great tubes!
And I added some text.
This is all on one layer.
Click on the selection tool
(highlighted here)
Surround the image as shown.

Release the button,
then click on the image to select it as shown.

Selections/ Modify/ Feather

15 pixels

Add a layer.
Click on the layer on the layer palette
and drag it UNDER layer1.

As shown

So the bottom layer is now empty.

Click on the Flood fill icon
(bucket)
then the Tool palette.
I clicked on Linear Gradient fill

Then pick the fill color you like

Make sure the bottom layer (2)
is active (blue) on the layer palette,
Then fill within the selection. You will have to click 4 or 5 times
to darken the gradient shadow a bit.

Click on layer 1

Add a light, regular drop shadow
to highlight the gradient even more.

Add a layer, drag it to the
bottom and
plain color fill.
Crop, merge visible and there you go!

Here are some others I did.

Here I used a pattern fill.
Then added a drop shadow.

Nifty Huh? :)
